Spiritbeads®…..Stringing Intentions For Your Life
Spiritbead Stories
A Special Moment
Not long ago I had the pleasure of beading with a young boy who was visiting his mother in the hospital. She had put forth a courageous effort to regain good health after a cancer diagnosis, however her status had taken a turn, and the prognosis was not hopeful.
Beading enthusiastically for an hour, this boy had great understanding and clarity around the significance of the color symbolism, the intentions, and what he wanted to give his mother. The result was a beautiful necklace that represented comfort he wanted for her, and most importantly, his love for her. He was excited to give her this handmade gift.
A week later I learned that was the last time he saw his mother before she passed, and the last gift he gave her. I received a phone message from the father thanking me for the time I spent with his son. “He has spent about a half hour at a time talking with people about the necklace – it was a special moment and I’m deeply grateful”.
The beads played a significant role in her memorial service and helped this young boy have a different perspective of his mothers passing. I was honored to be invited to bead with all the children at the reception after the memorial service. They strung beads that represented what this wonderful woman’s life stood for.
